自从Gale继母那次意外之后，很多人都猜Gale会回家看看。2007年10月底，有人说在Madison County, NC遇见Gale：

He was alone, although did wave to someone across the street. He stopped and was talking on his cell, as we walked past. Not really a beard, a few days growth. Hair was longish, but not totally unkempt. Like I said - grungy.
My BF and I were there visiting a friend with end-stage cancer, so I was a bit pre-occupied. I looked, thought "that guy looks alot like Gale" and that was it. I asked my BF later if he had thought the same thing, but he hadn't really been looking. He thought "maybe".

他（当时）一个人，和街对面的某个人打着招呼。我们经过他身边时，他正停下来讲手机。他的胡子不是很多，大概几天没有剃的长度。他的头发长了，不完全是不修边幅，就是比较随便一点。

But, better than hope is a gay icon and one did manage to show at the bash. Gale Harold AKA Brian Kinney of Queer As Folk stayed close to the bar all night.
Well, he looked great. He had some facial hair and a cool hat. He showed up with a guy with a matching hat and spent the night talking with some girl with a backpack on.

Gale Harold 整晚都在吧台旁边。
他看起来很棒。他戴了一顶很酷的帽子，脸上有点胡茬。他和一个男人一起出现的，那个男人也戴了一顶相衬的帽子。Gale和一个背着背包的女孩聊天聊了很久。
